Presumed innocent Antenna 3 murders Muttoni, Yana, Capuano, death Carmine Gallo, Lacerenza Nobile investigation

On 10.03.2025 Lawyer Federica Liparoti was a studio guest on the TV program Presunto Innocente, hosted by Daniele Porro, broadcast on Antenna 3 / Telelombardia, offering a technical contribution to the analysis of recent crime cases.

The discussion initially centered on the murder of Luciano Muttoni, a 58-year-old man from Valbrembo, in the province of Bergamo, who was killed in his home following an attempted robbery. The culprits, who are in custody, are allegedly a 25-year-old Italian, a convicted felon, and a 24-year-old Polish accomplice. The two, who allegedly drove away from the scene in the victim's car, taking with them some of the victim's personal belongings, were stopped by Carabinieri at a checkpoint in Brianza on charges of receiving stolen property, as they could not justify possession of the car. They allegedly later confessed to the murder and to getting rid of the stolen goods, dumping them in the fields and woods between the towns of Valbrembo and Solza. The victim, who was unemployed, lived by renting his home and offering a cab service with his own car to and from Orio al Serio airport. The discovery of a scattergun in Ponte San Pietro and a bloodstained jacket near the Solza cemetery confirmed the confession made by the arrestees, who are currently imprisoned in the Bergamo jail awaiting interrogation.

Next came the controversial ruling regarding the Yana Malaiko feminicide, with Dumitru Stratan being sentenced to 20 years in prison, ruling out the aggravating circumstance of premeditation. The crime took place on the night of January 19-20, 2023, in Castiglione delle Stiviere (Mantua). The young woman was suffocated, locked in a trolley and hidden in the countryside. The prosecution had asked for life imprisonment, believing, based on the evidence presented, that this was not a murder of impetus.

After several months of investigation and speculation of underworld connections, the murder weapon, a pistol, was reportedly found in a beauty case belonging to Rosa, daughter of Francesco Capuano. Carabinieri from Mantua, with the help of colleagues from Gonzaga and Naples, arrested Rosa Capuano, charged with premeditated murder and unlawful possession of a firearm, for the killing of her father, who was found lifeless in his car in the garage of his home in Suzzara. Francesco Capuano was thus allegedly killed for the inheritance and not for other reasons initially speculated by investigators. At the moment, the woman has exercised her right not to answer.

There was later a focus on the shadows hovering over the death of Carmine Gallo. According to initial reconstructions, a heart attack is said to have crushed the man, who was charged with criminal association, abusive access to computer systems and other crimes. However, the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office has opened a file with no suspects or hypotheses of crime, in order to order an autopsy and toxicological tests. Gallo is well known in the news both for his achievements during a 30-year honored career in the police force and for the recent house arrest to which he was destined following the investigation into cyber spies and dossier-breaking in the Equalize case. In the service of law enforcement, Gallo had distinguished himself for negotiations conducted with Calabrian jailers during the period of kidnappings, for solving the Maurizio Gucci murder, for organizing the security of heads of state during Expo Milano 2015, and for dealings with important collaborators of justice, including 'ndrangheta superpentito boss Saverio Morabito in the Sud-Nord investigation. Recently, Gallo, as CEO of Equalize, had been implicated in an investigation by the DDA and DNA, according to which he was the dominus of an alleged network of computer spies, conducting large-scale dossier activities against many people, known and unknown, up to and including politicians and the highest state officials.

According to the hypotheses developed by the prosecution, he even paid some law enforcement officials to draw information from confidential databases. In recent days, Gallo was preparing a brief with sensitive contents, and in ten days he would have a hearing before the Re-examination Court to discuss the appeal proposed by the Prosecutor's Office against him and co-defendants, that is, the request for imprisonment as a stricter precautionary measure than the one in place.

Finally, news reports were commented on regarding the investigation into an alleged drug and prostitution ring in Milan, allegedly involving Stefania Nobile, daughter of Wanna Marchi, and former partner Davide Lacerenza. The Milan gip recently validated the emergency impeditive seizure of the Milan gintoneria and the privé La Malmaison. An urgent preventive seizure order was also issued by the prosecutor in the investigation for an amount of 900,000 euros, the alleged proceeds of self-laundering, one of the charges alleged in various capacities with the aiding and abetting and exploitation of prostitution and possession and distribution of narcotics (Stefania Nobile is not liable for this offense).
