Presumed Innocent
Presumed innocent Antenna 3, Garlasco murder, Stasi, Sempio, Parabiago Mantis
On 07.04.2025, lawyer Federica Liparoti was a studio guest on the television programme Presunto Innocente, hosted by Daniele Porro, broadcast on Antenna 3 / Telelombardia, offering a technical contribution to the analysis of relevant episodes of crime or judicial news. Specifically, Avv. Liparoti was involved in the handling of the ‘Mantis of Parabiago’ case and the ‘Milan's Gintoneria’ case.
The courtroom of the Busto Arsizio Assize Court reconstructed the plan that Adilma Pereira Carneiro, known as the ‘Mantis of Parabiago’, allegedly concocted to kill Fabio Ravasio by simulating a car accident. One of the seven alleged accomplices, Fabio Oliva, a mechanic who repaired the car used to run over and kill Ravasio, said in court: ‘Adilma asked me if I could start a car and that she would use it to kill Fabio Ravasio. I didn't think she would really do that.’ In front of the court, another co-defendant, Mirko Piazza, who allegedly acted as a lookout, also accused the woman of organising the murder, setting the date and operating methods through a Candomblé ritual, an Afro-Brazilian religious practice of which she was a priestess. From what emerges, the motive for the murder was allegedly economic.
During the hearing before the Court of Re-examination in the Milan Gintoneria case, Stefania Nobile's lawyer reiterated her defence, claiming that there was no ‘treasure’ hidden by the woman. Stefania Nobile made herself available to indicate the details of the Albanian bank account that the investigators have not yet traced, in order to allow the necessary investigations. According to Nobile's defence, she therefore did not profit from the alleged illegal or criminal activities of Davide Lacerenza's Gintoneria.
Other topics covered in the episode included the widespread theft and violence in Milan, particularly during special events such as the Salone del Mobile, the arrest of the gang of tyre thieves operating in the Niguarda area, the investigation for voluntary manslaughter following the discovery of the unclothed corpse of a girl on the bank of a river in Alzano Lombardo, and the maxi-evidence investigation under way for the 2007 murder of Chiara Poggi in Garlasco: Andrea Sempio's DNA and the new laboratory analyses on samples collected at the crime scene and the request for semi-freedom submitted by the lawyers of Alberto Stasi, until now qualified as the only person responsible for Chiara's death, definitively sentenced and currently imprisoned in Bollate prison.
